How Cars Are Killing Us
via Infrastructurist
It also struck me how inadequate standard bike lanes are when riding with kids. Why? At just four or five feet wide, it’s nearly impossible to ride next to a small child — which, as a father of a 7-year old who is just learning to mix with traffic, is something I feel compelled to do.
Is this really enough space, for people? Size matters.
